Family, friends, and the entire Livonia community are mourning the heartbreaking and unimaginable loss of Sterling Ray Pierce, 58, Holly Marie Kimball, 53, Tanner Pierce, 22, and Nevaeh May Jaslynn Finch, 21, who were fatally shot during a violent incident at a home on Rensellors Street in Livonia on Tuesday evening.

According to Livonia Police, officers were dispatched to the residence shortly before 6 p.m. after reports of a shooting inside the home. When officers arrived, they encountered a 25-year-old Livonia man outside the residence, who was taken into custody without incident after reportedly admitting to the shooting.

Authorities said all four victims died from gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators confirmed that Sterling Pierce, 58, and Holly Marie Kimball, 53, were found deceased in the backyard of the home. Their son, Tanner Pierce, 22, and Tanner’s girlfriend, Nevaeh May Jaslynn Finch, 21, were found inside the residence. Police reported that two of the victims were located in a bedroom, while the other two were found outside.

Officials stated that there was a contentious relationship between the suspect and his parents, though no prior criminal history or previous police calls to the residence had been reported. Investigators have not confirmed a specific motive as they continue to examine the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

The suspect remains in police custody as the case is reviewed in coordination with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. Charges have not yet been formally filed, but authorities expect further legal action as the investigation progresses.

The incident has been described by police as a tragic family-related shooting that unfolded entirely inside and around the home. Officials noted that Livonia had not experienced a homicide in several years prior to recent isolated incidents, making this tragedy particularly devastating for the community.

As the investigation continues, family members, friends, and neighbors are left to mourn the sudden and violent loss of four lives. The victims are being remembered for their roles as parents, siblings, and loved ones whose lives were deeply connected and tragically ended in a single, heartbreaking event.

Sterling, Holly, Tanner, and Nevaeh leave behind memories of family bonds, love, and shared moments that will be cherished forever by those who knew them.

May they all rest in peace, and may their loved ones find strength and comfort in the days ahead.
